Cerus Red Wine is one of the most distinctive creations of Azienda Agricola Bianchi, located in Arogno, in the heart of Cantone Ticino.

Grape variety: interspecific variety from the Cabernet Sauvignon family (vb-91-26-25) and Divico.

Vinification: grapes aged for 24 months in barriques, 50% of which in new barrels and 50% in 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. This product is obtained respecting the principles of BioSuisse certified organic farming.

Geography: vineyards mainly located in Val Mara, on the slopes of Monte Generoso with western exposure. The soil is well-draining with a limestone base, but with surface fragments of alpine origin and porphyry.

Aromatic characteristics: garnet-red wine, structured and enveloping, distinguished by notes of undergrowth and concentrated fruit, mainly black berries.

Pairings: ideal to accompany grilled meat main courses or game and aged cheeses.

Ageing potential: a wine best enjoyed whilst still fresh and youthful, but capable of developing positively over 2–4 years, during which time it gains greater complexity whilst retaining a pleasant liveliness.

Optimal serving temperature: 17–19°C

Awards: over the years, this wine has received significant recognition, attesting not only to the excellence of Cerus but also to the winery's commitment to producing high-quality wines.

• 2024: the 2020 vintage was awarded 96 points at Wine System Matter of Taste, Great Gold category.
• 2025: the 2021 vintage scored 94 points at the Vinum PIWI Contest and entered the 50 best PIWI wines.
• 2025: the 2022 vintage took 1st place with 93 points at the Falstaff PIWI Trophy Switzerland.
• 2026: 1st place at the 5th Irresistible PIWI Festival in Verona with 88.8 points.
