Chestnut Honey

Azienda Agricola Bianchi’s Chestnut Honey, produced in the lush valleys of Canton Ticino, is a sweet and robust treasure that reflects the authenticity and purity of the Ticino landscape.

This variety of honey, known for its dark amber color and intensely aromatic flavor, is one of the most characteristic expressions of local biodiversity, obtained in accordance with the principles of organic and sustainable agriculture.

Features and Production:

Our Chestnut Honey is harvested in late summer, a time when chestnut blossoms bloom in abundance, providing bees with rich, fragrant nectar. Bees work tirelessly to transform this nectar into a honey with a unique, slightly bitter taste, balsamic notes and a lingering aftertaste.

Gastronomic pairings:

Chestnut honey, with its bitterness, is a suave match for medium- to low-aged cheeses, goats’ cheese and ricotta, whose sweetness it enhances. Don’t be afraid to pair it with a good lard. The winning triptych should always be praised: bread, butter and chestnut honey.

Commitment to Sustainability:

At Azienda Agricola Bianchi, beekeeping is practiced with love and respect for bees and the environment. Our Chestnut Honey is not only a high-quality product, but also a testament to our commitment to organic and sustainable farming practices that aim to preserve the natural richness of Ticino for future generations.
